ACEM offers a wide range of courses in Event Management:


Short Courses in Event Management
The Executive Certificate in Event Management is a six day course that is aimed at both people seeking to pursue a career in the events industry and professionals seeking to obtain a related qualification and to up-date their skills with current industry best practice. The course is presented as part of the Continuing Education Program, School of Leisure, Sport and Tourism, UTS.

Course Dates for 2008:
The 6-day (2 x 3 days) Executive Certificate in Event Management will be run in Sydney over the following dates in 2008:

Course 1:   Unit A - Event Marketing and Management - Monday 21 April - Wednesday 23 April (inclusive)
                  Unit B - Event Operations - Wednesday 18 June - Friday 20 June (inclusive)

Course 2:    Unit A -  Event Marketing and Management - Wednesday 2 July - Friday 4 July (inclusive)
                    Unit B -  Event Operations - Monday 29 September - Wednesday 1 October (inclusive)

An annual seminar series conducted by ACEM for professionals in the event industry. The 2008 Seminar Series will be held over the following dates: Monday 21 July - Thursday 24 July (inclusive) topics include:

International and Interstate Event Management Programs

ACEM has developed Executive Development programs with a number of Australian and overseas institutions.  In 2007 courses were taught in Edinburgh, Malaysia, Macau, Melbourne, Singapore and New Zealand. Listed below are programs to be taught in 2008.

  • MELBOURNE  - 2 - 5 June  and 17 - 20 November 2008
    ACEM will be delivering two joint 4 Day Event Management Programs in association with the Centre for Tourism and Services Research, Victoria University.

INTERNATIONAL SHORT COURSES    

  • MALAYSIA - 15 - 18 April 2008
    ACEM will be delivering a joint 4 Day Event Management Program in association with Taylors College.
  • MACAU - 6 - 9 May 2008
    ACEM will be delivering a joint 4 Day Event Management Program in association with the Institute for Tourism Studies.
  • LONDON - 24 - 27 June and 4 - 7 November 2008
    ACEM will be delivering a joint 4 Day Event Management Program in association with London Metropolitan University.
  • NEW ZEALAND - 25 -28 August 2008
    ACEM will be delivering a joint 4 Day Event Management Program in association with Bay of Plenty Polytechnic, Tauranga.
  • EDINBURGH - 22 - 25 September 2008 and 26 - 29 January 2009
    ACEM will be delivering two joint 4 Day Event Management Program in association with Napier University.
